How to Make a Site Successful.

Hey, Ervinblogger here. I'm writing this post to address a certain aspect of a site, and that specific part would be the money making area of a site.  As you can see, or have seen, most sites use ads to make money, which is very easy to do.  However, most people just tell themselves this, "Alright, so I'll make myself a site, put a bunch of ads on it, and then have it make money for me non-stop!"  Well, technically this is true, but in all reality, by just creating the site doesn't mean that you will generate much money off of it.  In fact, the most efficient way to get revenue from ads is by getting traffic, and I mean a substantial amount of traffic in order to make a nice heap of money from your website(s). I'm not saying that you need the entire world to visit your website everyday, I'm just saying that you should at least make your site worthwhile to look at, and pleasant enough to make people want to come back. Remember, traffic leads to more traffic which leads to more traffic and so-on-so-forth.  So when building a site, expect not to have much traffic coming to you instantly, but rather just keep working on your site, and post articles on major Article Databases, such as EzineArticles.com or ArticlesBase.com.  If you make a post/article interesting enough, and you leave a back link to your website, which can be done simply by leaving the URL of you website somewhere on the post, and traffic will soon start coming to you steadily.

-Well that's it for now, until next time, surfers of the interweb ^_^

Just A Short Update:

Hello all! It's me again, I just wanted to let you all know that I have figured out an efficient way to maintain a blog without having to post new content 24/7 manually.  Look around the web for programs that will automatically post content on your blog using the sources or RSS feeds from another popular site.  However, let me warn you that MOST of these programs do not cite their sources properly, so you may want to double check everything after it is posted to make sure it's all done correctly.

How to Obtain Site Traffic Efficiently

Hello! Ervinblogger here (host of this blog ^_^) I'm writing this post to further educate or inform bloggers that are looking to increase traffic to their blog/site.  First of all, before you begin the main process to achieving good traffic, you first want to make sure that your site itself (along with its content) is appealing or special in a way that would make a person want to revisit it in the future. If you can maintain this on your site, you will have a steady and consistent stream of traffic flowing to your site.  To begin, you should search online for Blog Directories, and attempt to submit yours to see if it will be accepted.  Chances are that if it is accepted, you will get an increase in traffic which will lead to a rise in your web rank which in turn may lead to even MORE traffic and so on so forth.  This is a very good cycle in which many people want to get into, but it is not as simple as it seems.  You should also submit your site to well known search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, Alexa, Ask.com, Jeeves, and even some others that aren't particularly known by necessarily everyone.  I cannot guarantee you that this will get you traffic, but it will surely help you out in the long run.  Well I have to go for now, I'll be writing a follow up on this post shortly later today, I'm going to go have myself dinner.  Have fun and happy blogging to all of you!

Why Use RSS Feeds?

Why use RSS feeds when it is so difficult to understand and use in websites? RSS feeds are "links" that are alive when placed on your website. Every time a visitor views your webpage, the feed code shows the latest, newest and freshest information retrieved and saved from the source of the RSS feed. Also read about how you can submit your website content using this technology to increase traffic to your website.
USING RSS FEEDS FOR FRESH WEBSITE CONTENT:
RSS makes website building easy. Say for instance that you have created a website or web page where you want to display the latest news about your town. Instead of checking the news sites every day for fresh news about your home town, and then having to update your website or page with that news, you now can make use of RSS to free up your daily chores. All you need is to add a small rss feed link to your website or page and it will automatically fetch the latest related news and display it for your website visitors.
Implementing this technology is not that difficult to achieve as it was in the past. Since more and more people wanted to have websites with fresh news without having to keep working at it all the time, RSS tools were developed to make it easy for them. All you have to do is add the sites where you want your news to be taken from, and these tools will then provide you with the RSS code to put on your website.
IMPORTANT RSS FEED CODE CRITERIA:
These sites take the live feeds you want and and convert them into Java Script code which you can then insert into your website code. Java Script is not search engine friendly - people can see it but search engines not.
If the search engines can not see what your page content is showing, they cannot provide you with the best possible ranking in the search engines. If you are using monetization code to display advertising on your website relevant to the content of your site, you may also find that your ads are not that relevant and therefor not optimized for the best possible conversion. Free syndication services may cease to exist. If you want to setup a site for keeps you may want to look at a paid service that have support and sustainability.
Is it not exciting now that you realize that using RSS feeds on your website is not difficult anymore and to know how to use RSS (by using RSS tools and online services)? You now also know that it is not always wise to use free RSS feeds and to make sure that the service you decide to use, is a permanent and viable service.
We also discussed that we should rather not use Java Script feeds but rather alternative search engine readable code. Using html or php code instead will help in getting more traffic, but there is a much better way to get more traffic using this amazing technology.
USING RSS FEEDS TO GET MORE WEBSITE TRAFFIC:
If your website content is requested through a RSS service or Software Tool by someone who would like your latest website content showing up on their websites, it would be great for your website. People reading your content on other people's websites, may click through to your website and become your website visitor!
Having your website content syndicated to other websites through your website's feed, may make you website content spread much wider than you could have imagined. All those websites linking back to your website, should also benefit your website's position in the search engines.
Increase your website's area of influence by submitting your RSS feeds to RSS feed submission directories. Adding great content to your website as often possible also helps as people tend to share more content online than ever before. If your content is good, people may place your feed link into the websites services they use every day, and that way they will see all your website updates automatically.
CONCLUSION:
Now you know that you can setup websites that display the latest content on any topic without real effort and you also discovered that you can use this new technology to increase the exposure of your website and to receive much more traffic from all over the web.

Will RSS Kill Email Marketing?

Firstly, for anyone unsure of what RSS stands for it is Real Simple Syndication and while it may seem daunting at first, once you start doing it, you wonder why you thought it was so frightening to begin with.
Email marketing as most internet marketers know, is a very common and effective marketing practice today. Most internet marketers have lists of people's email addresses stored in an auto-responder. And if these internet marketers are consistent workers, they will email the people on their list at set intervals pre-programmed into their auto-responders. So how can RSS possibly kill email marketing?
Today more and more people use WordPress blogs to make their websites with, simply because it is an easy platform on which to make a website and because it is an interactive medium. Each WordPress blog can have an RSS email subscribe list that people who want to follow a blog's conversation can subscribe to and receive each and every update.
By interactive medium, I mean that you can 'talk' to, and with, your visitors on your blog site and each 'conversation' becomes a new entry so it builds up content on your website for you. Anyone who has subscribed to your blog via RSS will receive each new update into their email account or RSS reader account.
If you have a topic of interest to a few people, then a good conversation can be generated with everyone offering opinions on a subject. These blogs make very interesting reading, simply because you can either be a voyeur or a participant. Either way, you can learn a great deal from others who are willing to share their knowledge on a topic of conversation.
It is these RSS subscribe lists that have the potential to kill off email marketing. If you are in someone's auto-responder to receive their email messages then they will offer you more and more products to buy. In a short time, people get tired of being sold to, so they unsubscribe. Rarely does anyone stay on someone's list for any length of time.
Having said that there are some brilliant, informative and consistent email lists that people do belong to for years. Paul Myers is one that comes to mind instantly because people like me appreciate his commentary and he doesn't kill us with buy offerings. There are some others but they are few and far between; but I know I have been on Paul Myers list now consistently for the past 5 years. Many of his subscribers have been on there much longer than I have so that should indicate the difference between a good list and a bad list auto-responder owner
If there is a list owner reading this and who seems to have people subscribe and then unsubscribe quickly, then I suggest that RSS could kill off your list building pretty soon.
RSS gives people the updated information that they originally wanted from you or your product, but removes them from the inconvenience of being hounded by email to buy stuff all the time.
Recently I have noticed the more savvy internet marketers using both. They email their lists with titillating snippets and then send interested readers over to their blogs to receive the freebies or for more information. Perhaps they also suspect that RSS could seriously damage or kill email marketing too.

Tips for Using RSS Feed on Your Website

You probably already have a vague idea of what RSS feeds are, but do you know how to use it on your website? Do you fully understand how powerful RSS Feeds can be used to your advantage in marketing your online business?
RSS feeds are also known as Atom feeds. In layman's terms, it simply refers to a system which utilises XML computer language that is effective for making records of new content appearing on the web and delivering it to readers who are subscribed to particular records. Big information-based websites are able to function largely due to RSS feeds. The feeds collect headlines and summaries of content and then deliver it to subscribers who have a feed reader.
People who are interested in a particular website or blog can subscribe to that RSS and receive notification whenever new content is posted. It's a win-win situation for the site owner and as well, for the visitors. So, how can YOU benefit from RSS?
Listed below are some advantages to using RSS for your business website or blog:
1. RSS feeds draw a steady flow of traffic to your website.
2. You can use RSS as a supplement to your email marketing campaigns.
3. Use RSS feeds as a marketing strategy. Generate your own feeds which can be displayed on a wide variety of websites, directories, and blogs.
You can find tons of people online claiming that email marketing are still effective.Truth be told, in this information age, most advertising emails sent are never viewed by the recipients. Most people, today, get slammed with so much spam on a daily basis that they just do not have time to sort out what is legitimate and what could potentially contain a virus that could destroy the data on their computer.
RSS feeds are programmed into a different way as they are directly subscribed to by your site visitors. They would not be filtered into a spam folder the way most email advertisements are filtered. You would, therefore, get more people to actually read your messages. If you could incorporate auto-responders into your RSS system, it can be even more effective.
You would even notice improvements in your search engine site rankings when you start to use RSS feeds to notify others of updated content on your website or blog. Search engines actively reward sites that are updated routinely with fresh, interesting content. RSS helps improve your website's rating while drawing in repeated business and maintaining open communication with the visitors to your website.
If you can create your own RSS feeds, you can receive massive exposure for your business by having them displayed on sites that offer RSS directories. Marketers and bloggers routinely use these directories and mass websites, and many of them will then be able to spot your website or blog. This will bring tons of free traffic right to your website or blog.
RSS is not entirely new as most online marketers have at least heard of it at this point. It is, however, isn't as widely used as all other types of internet marketing tools. So,this is a great time to jump in and see what it can do for you. Sometime later, everyone else will be following behind you.
